Top Kitchen Tools I can't Live Without

To make delicious and healthy foods, you need to start with the right equipment. Here is my list of Top 10 tools I rely on for everyday cooking. The list is ranked from lowest price to highest! Click on the images below to shop! None of these are sponsored, everything is what I truly love to use.

1) Silicone Ring Molds- about $6.0 for a set of 2!

I use these ring molds for making the perfectly round eggs, pancakes and even burgers!

2) Lemon Squeezer- starting at $6

I use this almost every day for squeezing lemons and limes into drinks, salad dressings and seasoning vegetables. Of course you can squeeze by hand but you have to work around the pits and you never get out as much as if you use a proper tool. You can find this as low as $6.0 but I like this one as a nice middle ground that you know will last.

3) Microplane Zester and Grater- Both starting at around $15

Investing in both a zester and a grater is really a must have for the kitchen. I use my zester for lemons and limes for dressings and desserts. You can also use it to grate ginger, garlic and fresh nutmeg. The larger cheese grater is great for what do you think? Cheese! Freshly grated parmigiano cheese is a staple in our house and when you just need a quick dusting over pasta, opt for this easy tool!

4) Salad Dressing Shaker- starting at $19

I am always making my own salad dressings and usually use a creamy component such as mustard or greek yogurt to give the dressing the perfect thickness to coat the salad. You can certainly use a mason jar or a bowl and a whisk but I love that this tool has an emulsifying whisk inside of it and you an also store and pour the dressing directly from this container!

5) Cast Iron Skillet- starting at about $20.0

A cast iron skillet is a must have in the kitchen. Use it to make perfectly cooked burgers, roasted chicken and even a skillet cornbread. Make sure you treat it right! You want to season this pan, you don't clean it with soap and water, use a non abrasive sponge and some hot water, treat it with a little canola oil and make sure it is stored carefully. If layering with other pans line the skillet with a little oil and paper towels to protect it.

6) Cocktail Shaker- starting around $25

I'm the first to admit it, I love a cocktail! And my signature cocktail is usually shaken with a fresh fruit component! And having a good cocktail shaker is a must have! I love to have mine displayed so went for a gold one to match my kitchen, but have some fun with it! There are so many choices. Pick what speaks to you and start shaking up those martinis.

7) Immersion Blender- around $45

I only recently started using an immersion blender when a soup recipe called for it. And I am SO happy that I bought this. When making a creamy soup you can use a blender but it can be very tricky to manage the hot liquid and transferring back and forth. When you have this tool you can use it directly in your pot and have a soup ready instantly. You can also use this to make a delicious smooth side dish like a mashed potato or butternut squash.

8) Ninja Blender- around $100

A good blender can be life changing. Beyond the obvious smoothies I use this for mixed cocktails, sauces, soups and blended fruit for ice pops. This puppy can really crush ice! If you've had an average blender before and tried to make a frozen cocktail you know you have to keep adding liquid to get that ice to crush up. This will whip it right up before your eyes!

9) Breville Toaster Oven with Air Fryer- starting around $350

A good toaster oven is a must have for me. Beyond the obvious toast and waffles I use the oven when I am roasting or baking small side dishes. Not only does it add an extra oven when you need the space but it makes perfectly roasted vegetables! And one of the best parts about this toaster oven? It has an air fryer component! So you don't need to invest in another kitchen tool. You can really air fry anything you can think of, vegetables, starches and desserts! Get creative!

10) Le Creuset Dutch Oven- starts at about $350 depending on size

Okay, this is expensive!! But I honestly couldn't live with out it. Use it when braising meats, making stews and cooking for company. You use it to perfectly sear your meat and then cook it down with vegetables, broth, wine, whatever your recipe calls for. Use it on the stove or in the oven. And this guy is heavy! Make sure you have a low shelf to store this on. The good news is that you can choose from a variety of colors so it adds a great pop to your kitchen! I have this in 2 sizes and use my largest one less frequently, only when I have a LOT of company coming over!
