Immunity Booster Shot


Even though the weather is warming up, All I am hearing about are Spring colds and flu! When I start to feel myself getting sniffly I always make a batch of this immunity booster drink. If you have ever bought these at the grocery store or a juice shop you will see that they are close to $5 for a tiny bottle! It is so easy to make yourself and you can even whip up a larger batch to have on hand for the week. I like mine a little spicy but you can cut down the cayenne pepper if this is too much heat.


Makes 1 Shot

  • Juice of 1 small orange

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbsp ginger

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp raw honey

  1. You can either make this in a blender or do by hand. If using a blender peel and rough chop the ginger. Add all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth

  2. If making by end peel the ginger and using a fine grater, grate into a glass. Add fresh juices, cayenne, honey and stir until combined.

  3. Add about 1/8-1/4 cup water and mix together. Drink up!
