Grapefruit Margarita

I love any excuse for a Margarita and when the weather gets warm it's the first thing I crave. Always opt for fresh fruit juices in your drinks. You can let the Tequila shine without adding sweet liquors. And by using fresh fruit and agave you can control the amount of sweetness. Mixed drinks can be loaded with sugar leaving you feeling dehydrated. These are easy to make and oh so delicious.

Makes 2 Drinks

5 ounces Blanco Tequila

Juice of 1 lime

Juice of 1/2 grapefruit

1 1/2 ounce agave

In a cocktail shaker mix all ingredients above with lots of ice. Shake very well.

Serve in a cocktail glass with ice. If you like a salt rim that would definitely work here! Before you pour the drink rub a lime around the rim of your glass. Then add salt to a plate and spread out. Dip the rim of your glass in the salt and swirl around until the rim is coated. Add ice and pour!
